Spurs Defeat Rockets, 134-104
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the host Houston Rockets, 134-104, at Toyota Center on Tuesday.

While there were six ties and eight lead changes in the first quarter, San Antonio never relinquished the lead after that 34-23 first frame. In fact, they led by 14 points at the half and carried a 30-point lead into the final quarter. They got their lead up to 33 points at times in this blowout. The Spurs shot 57 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range while holding the Rockets to 41 percent from the field and 27 percent from long range. They also out-assisted Houston, 38-21.

The Spurs (18-30) were led by Dejounte Murray, tallying 19 points, five rebounds, 10 assists and three steals. Jakob Poeltl amassed 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Keldon Johnson totaled 16 points, four rebounds and two steals while Doug McDermott had 15 points, four rebounds and two assists. Tre Jones led the bench with 14 points, two rebounds and four assists.

The Rockets (14-34) were led by Kevin Porter Jr and his 16 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Christian Wood compiled 15 points and seven rebounds. Jae'Sean Tate totaled 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and four steals, while Alperen Sengun led the bench with 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks.

San Antonio has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Wednesday, returning home to play the Memphis Grizzlies. As for Houston, they're off until Friday when they play host to the Portland Trail Blazers.
