Western Illinois announced April 17 that Johnson joined its 2020 recruiting class as a graduate transfer from Chattanooga.
ANALYSIS
The 6-foot-7 forward will move closer to his home state of Wisconsin to finish out his college career following two seasons as a member of the Chattanooga program. Johnson, who began his career at Division II Northern Michigan, averaged 6.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20.7 minutes per game over 31 appearances (30 starts) as a redshirt junior in 2019-20. Johnson will be able to compete immediately with Western Illinois after earning his degree at Chattanooga.
