Armstrong scored 12 points and paced Alabama State off the glass with 11 rebounds Saturday as the Hornets defeated Southern 77-68 at home in Montgomery.

Armstrong shot over 50 percent from the field for the third time in four starts and converted 4-of-6 free throws to finish tied with Jamel Waters as Alabama State's second-leading scorer (12 points) on Saturday. The junior also posted a personal-best 11 rebounds and added a single assist to his totals in the win. Armstrong has now reached double figures in three of five February appearances, leaving him currently averaging 11.9 points a game in conference play. The 6-6, 185-pound forward joins Corvon Butler as one of two ASU players presently logging six or more rebounds an outing on the year as well.
