Latches on in Chicago
The Bears signed Swain to a contract Monday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Swain spent time on the Dolphins' practice squad last season, but he hasn't played snaps in a game since 2022, when he suited up for three contests with Denver and one for Miami. The 2020 sixth-round pick will have his work cut out to compete for a depth role in Chicago's crowded receiver room.

Swain broke a couple of big plays in his second NFL season in 2021, as he finished with a 25-343-4 line through 17 games in addition to serving as the team's punt returner. Most importantly, he held off rookie second-round pick Dee Eskridge, who struggled with a concussion to start the year. Swain again will have to perform well in training camp to keep the No. 3 role, and he could face additional competition from 2022 seventh-rounder Bo Melton in addition to Eskridge and free-agent signing Marquise Goodwin. Even if he wins the job outright, the opportunity isn't relevant for fantasy purposes now that Russell Wilson is in Denver and both DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett appear to be staying put.
