Headed for World Championship
Siegenthaler will link up with Switzerland for the 2024 IIHF World Championship in May, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Siegenthaler was limited to just 57 games this season due to injuries, which resulted in him recording just nine points. If the 26-year-old blueliner can stay healthy next year, he should be capable of challenging for the 20-point threshold, a mark he reached last season, despite a lack of power-play opportunities.

With No. 1 defender Dougie Hamilton injured for much of his debut season with the Devils in 2021-22, Siegenthaler stepped up in a major way. His offensive production -- one goal, 14 points in 70 games -- was minimal, but Siegethaler was one of the few Devils that exceeded expectations. The club was so impressed with his performance that it inked the 25-year-old to a new five-year, $17 million contract this summer. It's a deal which should ensure that Siegenthaler retains a top-four role with the team for years to come, although he can be ignored in most fantasy formats.
