Wants to return
Bortuzzo said Friday that he while he has no expectations, he would love to play for the Islanders next season, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Bortuzzo just completed the final year of his two-year contract and is eligible to become a UFA on July 1. Bortuzzo was dealt from St. Louis on Dec. 8 after playing parts of 10 seasons with the Blues. He managed to play 23 regular-season games with the Islanders following the trade and failed to pick up a point over that stretch, but he managed one assist in five games versus Carolina in the opening round of the playoffs.

Bortuzzo suited up in just 42 games last year, serving as an occasional healthy scratch. The 31-year-old features minimal fantasy upside; his career high is 13 points back in the 2017-18 season. Bortuzzo's a physical presence on the blue line, although he may cede that role to Niko Mikkola as the season progresses.
