UFC return scheduled
WelterweightUFC
March 6, 2024
Gall is scheduled to compete against fellow welterweight Bassil Hafez at UFC 302 in Newark on June 1, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Should this fight go through, it will be Gall's first in two years. He decisively lost his last two fights, via decision against Alex Morono and via TKO against Mike Malott. However, Gall will give it another go, and there will be no better way for him to return than in his home state of New Jersey, where UFC 302 is scheduled to be held.

Struggles continue in Jacksonville
WelterweightUFC
April 9, 2022
Gall lost to Mike Malott via TKO (punches) at 3:41 of Round 1 at UFC 273 on Saturday in Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Gall has had some rough performances during his time with the UFC, but this was perhaps the most concerning to date. He certainly looks more comfortable on the feet from an offensive standpoint than he did earlier in his career, but his stand-up defense remains a major issue. Gall displays shockingly little footwork and struggles to get his head off the center line. That leaves Mickey at serious risk of being suddenly finished, as he was in this one, even in a fight in which he appears to be holding his own. Sporting a 3-5 mark in his last eight fights, Gall is nothing more than roster depth despite the fact he is still just 30 years of age.
Booked for UFC 273
WelterweightUFC
January 9, 2022
Gall will face Mike Malott in a welterweight matchup at UFC 273 on April 9, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gall will attempt to bounce back after he lost to Alex Morono via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 44 in early December. Malott earned a contract with the promotion in October when he defeated Shimon Smotritsky via submission (guillotine choke) at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Gall has an edge in height, but the two fighters are even in reach.
Drops lopsided decision
WelterweightUFC
December 6, 2021
Gall lost to Alex Morono via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Vegas 44 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Gall does his best work on the mat and has limited success when unable to get the fight there, which was evident here. While it was encouraging to see him post a career-best 65 significant strikes, he ate 90 of them, including one that dropped him in the first round. Gall entered this one as a (+200) betting underdog and looked the part, and he's now alternated wins and losses in his last eight UFC fights.
Battling Morono in December
WelterweightUFC
November 12, 2021
Gall will face Alex Morono in a welterweight bout at UFC's Dec. 4 event, Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gall's only fight of 2021 was a submission victory (rear-naked choke) over Jordan Williams in July, and he'll look to cap the year with another win in Vegas, which would be his first two-fight win streak since 2016. Morono is 2-0 this year with wins over David Zawada (unanimous decision) and Donald Cerrone (TKO).
Has career-best performance in win
WelterweightUFC
July 24, 2021
Gall defeated Jordan Williams via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:57 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 27 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Gall has had his ups-and-downs in the UFC but looked ready to fight on Saturday, as a hard elbow from the clinch sent Williams to the ground early. The BJJ brown belt hurt Williams once again moments later, prompting him to shoot a takedown that allowed Gall to wrap up the neck. If what we saw in this fight is an indication of what Gall has been learning from his new training partner and coach Matt Brown, he could be on track to revitalizing his career as a dual threat. He improves to 7-3 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.
