Sixers Looking For Third Straight Win
The Philadelphia 76ers play host to the Los Angeles Lakers at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening.

This marks the second game of a five-game home stand for the 76ers (28-19), which they began with a win over the Pelicans on Tuesday. They have won the last two in a row and will look to keep it rolling with a chance to add to their, 11-10, home record. Joel Embiid has been on a tear, averaging 35.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 blocks, over the last 10 games. Tobias Harris poured in a season-high 33 points on Tuesday night, and he is averaging 19.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals, over the last 10 games. Tyrese Maxey has been solid all season for the Sixers, averaging 16.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. The 76ers are averaging 107.7 points per game, and they are holding opponents to an average of 105.7 points per game.

Meanwhile, this marks the fourth game of a six-game road trip for the Lakers (24-24), where they have gone, 2-1, so far. They will look to build off a win in their most recent outing and add to their, 9-12, road record. Anthony Davis (knee) made his return from a five-week absence in the Lakers' last game, and he logged eight points, two rebounds, two assists, four blocks and a steal, in 25 minutes of action. LeBron James continues his dominant play, averaging 30.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks, over the last 10 games. Russell Westbrook has been relatively quiet, averaging 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists, over the last 10 games. The Lakers are averaging 111.2 points per game, but they are giving up an average of 112.3 points per game, which is fourth most in the league.

Timberwolves and Warriors Set for Bay Area Battle
The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Thursday night.

The Timberwolves (24-23) have put an uneven start to the season mostly behind them, and they'll enter Thursday's contest having won eight of their last 11 games. Their most recent success came Tuesday night, when they edged the Portland Trail Blazers by a 109-107 score. Anthony Edwards paced the Timberwolves with 40 points, complementing them with nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Russell supplied 22 points, four assists and two rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns generated a 17-point, 17-rebound double-double that included two assists and four blocks. Jarred Vanderbilt posted 13 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block.

The Timberwolves are likely to list Patrick Beverley (ankle) as questionable at best for Thursday's game.

The Warriors (35-13) have emerged from a recent funk in solid form, as they'll come into Thursday's game having prevailed in four of their last five games. Their most recent victory unfolded Tuesday night, when they throttled the Dallas Mavericks by a 130-92 score. Jonathan Kuminga paced the Warriors with 22 points, supplementing them with five rebounds. Stephen Curry supplied 18 points, nine boards, seven assists and one steal. Jordan Poole registered 17 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Klay Thompson fought through knee soreness to post 15 points, six assists and two rebounds. Andrew Wiggins furnished 14 points, five boards, three assists and one steal. Otto Porter tallied 12 points, six rebounds and one steal.

The Warriors will likely list Andre Iguodala (hip) as questionable for Thursday's game. Draymond Green (calf) will remain out.

Thursday's game marks the third of four meetings between the teams this season. The series is split 1-1.
